By connecting Manceppo to MailChimp you will open up marketing automation functionality. The connection enables you to:

  • Add newsletter subscriptions to your WordPress call-to-action forms
  • Trigger Automation workflows in MailChimp based on behavior on WordPress
  • Sync MailChimp Audience data to build a 360 view of your contacts across your tools
  • Build a lead score based on activity in emails, on your website and across other tools

To connect Manceppo to MailChimp, just follow these 3 steps.

  • Step 1: Log in to MailChimp and go to: ACCOUNT -> EXTRAS -> API KEY. Here’s the direct link. Copy the API Key.
  • Step 2: Log in to Manceppo and go to: CONNECT -> MAILCHIMP. Here’s the direct link. Paste the API Key.
  • Step 3: Hit the ‘Submit’ button, in a couple of minutes your MailChimp data will be synced to Manceppo.

Each of the 4 features is explained in more detail below.

Feature 1: Add newsletter subscriptions to your WordPress call-to-action forms

Call to actions like whitepaper downloads, free trials or webinar sign-ups are a great opportunity to generate high quality opt-ins for your newsletter(s). When you connect MailChimp to Manceppo and start setting up forms for your WordPress website you can add a checkbox for each of your audience lists in MailChimp.

For setting up a WordPress form log in to Manceppo and go to:
CONVERSION -> FORMS -> WORDPRESS FORM SETTINGS. Or read the full instructions here.

When your then set-up a form. you can either precheck or uncheck to newsletter checkbox on your form, depending on how you would like to guide visitors to opting in to your newsletter.

Feature 2: Trigger automation workflows in MailChimp based on behavior on WordPress

MailChimp Automation functionality is used to create a targeted series of emails triggered by a specific date, event, or subscriber activity. Check this MailChimp tutorial to get started with MailChimp Automation, or watch this instruction video.

Commonly used options to trigger an automated workflow in MailChimp include a ‘Signup’ for a specified audience list or a ‘Change in a subscribers audience field’. Using the workflow ‘Rules Engine’ in Manceppo you can ‘Sign up’ subscribers to a specific audience list or ‘Change a subscribers audience field’ based on a rule or set of rules using the Manceppo ‘Rules Engine’.

So for instance you can add a contact profile you generated, using a Manceppo download form on your WordPress website, to a specific Audience in MailChimp (Signup) and trigger an associated Automation.

For setting up a workflow with the Manceppo Rules Engine go to:
CONVERSION -> WORKFLOWS

Feature 3: Sync MailChimp subscriber data to build a 360 view of your contacts across your tools

Once you have connected MailChimp to Manceppo all MailChimp Audience data will be synced to Manceppo. Based on their email address data from other sources, like downloads on you website, is combined into one timeline.

You can for instance use this 360 view of your contacts to set leadscoring criteria and/or trigger workflows using the Rules Engine.

Feature 4: Build a lead score based on activity in emails, on your website and across other tools

Manceppo offers a flexible way to set lead scoring criteria on both activity (Behavioral Lead Scoring) and demographic characteristics (Explicit Lead Scoring) of profiles. You can work with one set or multiple sets of scoring rules, for instance when you have different target audiences and/or different offerings.

As you have synced all MailChimp Audience data you can for instance include opening of emails send by MailChimp and clicking on links in those email in your lead scoring rules. Learn more on configuring lead scoring rules here.
